The short version

Downloaded tools run entirely on your computer and send us nothing. The website collects only the minimum needed to operate: anonymous usage events, form submissions you choose to send, newsletter consent, and order records for purchases.

What we collect

• Anonymous visit measurement: the pages you view, how long you spend on them, how far you scroll, and what you click (such as downloads and outbound links)
• Approximate location — country, region and city — determined by our content network from your connection. We do not store your IP address
• General device information: device type, browser and operating system
• How you arrived: the referring website or campaign parameters in the link you followed
• Contact and tool-request submissions you send us
• Newsletter email addresses with explicit consent
• Order and licence records from our payment provider

How visit measurement works

We use our own first-party measurement rather than a third-party analytics service, so your browsing is not shared with advertising networks. We set no cookies. To join the pages of a single visit together we store a random identifier in your browser's session storage; it is discarded when you close the tab, and it is never linked to your name, email or any identity, nor used to follow you across other websites.

This information tells us which tools people need and where the site is confusing. It is reported to us in aggregate and as individual anonymous visits — never as identified people.

How long we keep it

Detailed visit records are retained for 12 months and then deleted automatically. Contact submissions, orders and licence records are kept for as long as we need them to support you and to meet legal and accounting obligations.

What we never collect

• Data you enter inside downloaded tools
• Project files you save locally
• Payment card details (handled entirely by the payment provider)
